Give Back with SnowCare for Troops.
Are you grateful for the brave men and women who have devoted their lives to protecting our families and our country? Did you know that there are more than 3.6 million veterans with a service-related disability with a need for day-to-day household and lifestyle assistance services? Do you have a snow management or landscaping company and are you looking for a way to give back? Well here's your chance:
SnowCare for Troops is an outreach program, developed by Project Evergreen and BOSS Snowplow, that connects local snow management professionals with members of the U.S. military. The program aims to provide complimentary snow and ice removal services for families of currently deployed military personnel, and wounded or disabled veterans.
The program is a part of GreenCare for Troops, which focuses on maintaining the home landscape for military families:
"Recognizing the importance of green space in the lives of families, Project EverGreen, through its GreenCare and SnowCare for Troops programs, along with thousands of volunteers across the country, helps military families with a loved one away from home serving our country. It’s a challenge for any family when one person is away. And we believe it is important for families to have a healthy, safe, and well-maintained yard in which to play and live."
Tomorrow is Veterans' Day. If you'd like to give back to our service-men and women, consider thanking them by offering your snow management services this season. Don't forget, National SnowCare for Troops Awareness Week is November 8-14, 2015.
Happy Veterans' Day, and Thank You.
